Are you renting or do you own your own website?
It might seem like a rhetorical question but it is surprising how many firms don’t actually have any ownership in their own websites. They simply rent the space!
Even if you supplied your own content, graphics, logos and photos you may only be paying a license fee for a framework in which to house your supplied material.
It is important to read and make sure that you fully understand what the website contract that you entered into actually means and when you had your website built by the website developer what do you own and have rights to? And what happens if you terminate the contract?
